Milestone update 2
Hello there,
around 2 months ago I updated you with the completion of the challenge rooms milestone and said I would work on populating the world and making the game completable from start to finish.
I also said it'd probably take me around 2 months to do it, but, I've been going slower than expected, and in the end, I haven't been able to populate the whole world, I'm still missing 3 areas of the game, I'd say I'm behind like a month more or less, but, I haven't been slacking either, the main reason for going so slow in the 'populating the world' milestone is because I've also been doing bug fixing, playtesting with new players and considering/implementing their feedback, implementing steam api and steam input to the steam version of the demo, remade the tutorial once again, and many other things.
So yeah, it's the first time I haven't been able to meet one of my deadlines, but no matter, I've polished the game and implemented more necessary things, and also, these things happen, I'll just try my best to focus and get this done as quick as possible, to try to catch up.
But, in better news, today is the day in which Wishbinds story became completable from start to finish, I can now start a new savefile and go all the way through the story, except for the credits, because I'm leaving them as the last task for the game.
So hurray, that's a huge milestone, and it's honestly amazing to finally be able to play the story to completion.
There are some songs I made for story segments that I'm very proud of, and I can't wait for people to be able to listen to them too.
That only leaves two (2) milestones left to complete, these being:
- Populate the overworld. (Which is kind of halfway done)
- Finish any other secrets, secondary stories and extra stuff
My goal is still to release on August, but with having to catch up to unfinished work, I'm not sure if that'll be 100% possible.
What I definitely don't want to do is rush it and release an unfinished game, so, if I have to, I'll delay the game a couple of months.
But for now, the course is still the same.
And that's all for todays update, very exciting stuff, and the finish line keeps getting closer and closer.
I'll make another update whenever I finish another milestone, or if I feel like something important happened.
