Milestone update
As promised, I'm making a new update after reaching one of the game milestones.
The milestone reached is "Design, implement and lock in the final 100 challenge rooms of the game.".
So now all the challenge rooms for the game are done, and in the timeframe I set for them too!
Does this mean I'll never touch or do any challenge rooms from now on?
No, now playtesting will begin, and if any of the challenge rooms feels off or boring, I'll go in and change it to make it better! But those should be small changes at most.
Now, what's left? Let's look at the updated milestones list:
- Populate the overworld.
- Make the game playable from beginning to end.
- Finish any other secrets, secondary stories and extra stuff.
The plan now is to populate the world with NPCs, and other assets that need to be designed, drawn and or animated, plus adding any extra world rooms needed for those.
I'll try to focus on story relevant things first, that way I could work on the second milestone at the same time.
I can't really say how long this will take me, but I think it will be at most 2 months, but wouldn't be surprised if I'm totally off and it ends up taking longer. So yeah, as usual, no promises, but I will aim to be done with those 2 milestones by april.
I'll do another update then, or maybe before if I feel like there are things that need to be said.
